Our Story
CanCape was built close to home.
Kris and Kaleb are brothers who worked together at a company that distributed car wash parts in Mansfield, Ohio. Kris served as the lead graphic designer and creative, while Kaleb worked in sales. Their roles were different, but their days often overlapped on job sites, walking properties, talking with operators, and seeing how car washes functioned in real life.
Being on sites together gave them a full view of the business. Kaleb focused on conversations with owners and operators, learning where money was spent, what problems mattered, and what improvements were overlooked. Kris viewed the same sites through a design lens, paying attention to how customers experienced the wash, how the brand showed up, and where visual gaps existed.
One issue stood out everywhere they went.
Car washes invested heavily in stainless steel equipment, lighting, signage, and architecture. Yet one of the most visible elements on the property, the trash can, was almost always ignored. Exposed bags, faded plastic, no branding, and no intention. The problem was not operational. It was visual, experiential, and universal.
Because they saw it together, the solution was obvious.
The trash can did not need to be replaced. It needed to be finished.
Kris began designing a simple, durable wrap that could clean up the appearance instantly. Kaleb validated the idea in real time by talking with operators and confirming the problem was widespread. What started as a shared observation turned into a focused product built around function, durability, and appearance.
That idea became CanCape.
CanCape is a professional trash can cover designed specifically for car washes. It hides exposed bags, elevates the look of the site, and creates a clean surface for branding, messaging, and QR code engagement. It is an easy upgrade that improves customer perception without changing operations.
CanCape exists because two brothers, working side by side, noticed the same problem and chose to fix it.
